📊 WASDE Report

World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates. Monthly snapshot of global supply/demand balance for major crops and livestock. Released around the 10th of each month.

⚡ High market impact — often moves corn/soybean futures 10–40¢ at release

📈 Crop Progress

Weekly condition ratings for major crops (Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor/VP) and planting/harvest progress by state. Released Mondays at 4 PM ET during growing season (April–November).

⚡ Moderate impact — "Good/Excellent" ratings move corn and soybean prices

🌱 Prospective Plantings

Farmer survey of intended spring planting acres for corn, soybeans, wheat, and other crops. Released late March. Sets the tone for the entire marketing year.

⚡ Very high impact — major price mover, especially if acres differ from trade expectations

🏗️ Grain Stocks

Quarterly inventory of corn, soybean, wheat, sorghum, and oats on farms and in commercial facilities. Released in January, March, June, and September.

⚡ High impact — September stocks are especially important for carry-out estimates

📐 Acreage Report

Actual planted and harvested acreage for major crops based on June 1 survey. Released late June. Often the most significant report of the year for price direction.

⚡ Very high impact — frequently the biggest single-day price move of the year

🔭 USDA Ag Outlook Forum

Annual February forum with USDA's first official projections for the new crop year. Sets baseline supply/demand expectations before spring planting decisions are made.
