What time do USDA reports come out?
The big crop reports come out at 12:00 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT): WASDE, Crop Production, Grain Stocks, Prospective Plantings and Acreage. Cattle on Feed, Hogs and Pigs, Milk Production and Cold Storage come out at 3:00 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT), the time NASS uses for most of its other reports. When is the WASDE report released?
The USDA WASDE report is released monthly, typically around the 10th of each month at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (11:00 AM Central). It can move corn and soybean futures sharply at release.
When is the USDA Export Sales report released?
The USDA Export Sales report usually comes out Thursday at 8:30 AM Eastern Time from the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. A federal holiday earlier in the week can push it to Friday. It covers weekly net export sales of corn, soybeans, and wheat.
When is the Prospective Plantings report?
The USDA Prospective Plantings report is typically released in late March, usually the last business day of the month. It surveys farmers on intended corn, soybean, and wheat planting acres and is one of the most market-moving reports of the year.
When is Crop Progress released?
USDA Crop Progress is released every Monday at 4:00 PM Eastern Time (Tuesday when Monday is a federal holiday), from the first Monday in April through the Monday after Thanksgiving (Nov 30 in 2026, per the NASS calendar). It provides weekly condition ratings and planting and harvest progress percentages by state.
