About AGSIST
Agricultural market intelligence built for working US producers — grain, livestock, dairy, specialty. One person, one mission: give farmers the data tools they deserve.
What This Is
AGSIST is an agricultural intelligence dashboard. Live futures prices across grain, livestock, dairy, and energy markets, local farm weather, spray conditions, urea volatilization risk, USDA reports, prediction markets, calculators, and a daily briefing — all in one place, no login required.
Good ag data has been locked behind expensive subscriptions designed for commodity desks, not for the people who actually raise the crops, run the cows, or milk the herd. I built this because I thought that was wrong, and because my own clients needed something better.
Who Built This
I'm a licensed crop insurance agent based in Wisconsin, serving producers across grain, livestock, dairy, and specialty operations. AGSIST started as a tool I wanted for myself and my clients, and grew into something I thought every farmer deserved access to. Every line of code on this site is mine — built personally, self-funded, no team, no investors. Just nights, weekends, and a strong opinion that this data should be more accessible.
How This Stays Running
Honestly — it's self-funded right now. No investors, no current sponsors, no business backing it. I built this on my own time and my own dime because I thought it needed to exist.
That has to change. Data costs are real and they grow as the platform grows. The path there is the AGSIST Daily Briefing — a morning market read that goes out to working US ag producers every day. I'm looking for a founding sponsor for it. One ag company, one issue, in front of an audience that signed up because they want to be there.
If that's something you'd want to talk about, reach out. Tools on the site stay available at no charge for non-commercial use right now. I'm not making promises about forever.
📰 Founding Sponsor — AGSIST Daily Briefing
$150/week · 1 slotThe AGSIST Daily Briefing goes out every morning to a base of working US ag producers reading it before the open — grain, cattle, dairy, and specialty operations. I'm taking on one founding sponsor at $150/week, six-week minimum ($900), with the rate locked in for 12 months. One sponsor per issue. No retargeting. No programmatic auctions.
If your company sells to working farmers and you want a morning presence, reply or call. Worth 10 minutes of your time? sig@farmers1st.com · 715-797-2428.
Crop Insurance — Wisconsin & Minnesota
🌽 I'm also a crop insurance agent
Separate from AGSIST — I'm a licensed crop insurance agent at Farmers First Agri Service, serving producers across Wisconsin and Minnesota. Same person, different hat. If you need MPCI, PRF (Pasture, Rangeland, Forage), LRP (Livestock Risk Protection), or LGM (Livestock Gross Margin) coverage, you'd be working with an agent who reads the same WASDE reports and basis charts you do and built his own tools to track them.
No pitch. If you want to talk coverage, call me.
📞 715-797-2428The Farmers First Ag Index (FFAI)
The FFAI is a proprietary weekly composite scoring the current agricultural economic environment across six categories: commodity prices, input costs, weather risk, export demand, credit conditions, and policy outlook. Published every Monday through Farmers First Agri Service. farmers1st.com →
What's Coming
AGSIST is an active, evolving project. On the roadmap: a dedicated crop progress page, expanded USDA yield data tools, a broader cash bid network, and deeper daily briefing tiers with more granular market analysis. If something's broken or missing, tell me.
