Sponsor PRF in your state

AGSIST has a free PRF calculator and a page for every state and county where USDA offers Pasture, Rangeland, Forage insurance. Ranchers use them to price coverage before the Dec 1 sales closing. One business per state can put its name on those pages.

Questions

What does it cost to sponsor PRF in a state?

The price is on request, and it depends on the state. Send the form on this page or email Sig, and he replies with a price for the states you ask about.

How long does a PRF sponsorship run?

It is prepaid, and the placement is guaranteed through December 31. You get the first say on renewing for the next year. If you do not renew, your block comes down after December 31.

Can one business sponsor more than one state?

Yes. Each state has one sponsor, and one business can take as many states as it wants.

Does a sponsor have any say over the PRF figures?

No. The figures come from USDA RMA's rates, county base values and PRF index record. A sponsor has no say over any figure, and every block is labeled Sponsor.

Can a crop insurance agency sponsor PRF?

Yes. The PRF pages tell readers that a sponsor may sell crop insurance. The advertising rules set by your company and your state apply to your block.

Who runs AGSIST?

Sigurd Lindquist, a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA). He also owns Farmers First Agri Service, a licensed crop insurance agency. Farmers First never takes a sponsor slot and gets no referrals from the PRF pages.
