The rules

  • No cut, no fees. AGSIST takes nothing from either side and never sits between you. You call each other.
  • Nobody checks the hay. AGSIST does not see, weigh or test anything posted here. Look at it, ask for the test, and settle the price and the load before money moves. Buyer beware.
  • Nearest first, every time. No paid spots and no ranking by anything but distance.
  • Posts come down in 30 days unless you renew them from your private link. Sold out? Take it down from the same link.
  • No links, no ads for other things. Posts with links are turned away. Shouting or repeated text waits for a look first.
  • Report what is wrong. Three reports from different people take a post down until Sig looks at it.

Questions

What does it cost to post hay?

Nothing. There is no fee to post, to call, or to sell, and AGSIST takes no share of the sale.

How do I change or take down my post?

When you post, you get a private link. Open it to change the post, renew it for 30 more days, or take it down. This browser keeps it too, under Your posts. Lost it? Write Sig and say which post it was.

Who sees my phone number?

Only someone who opens the board and taps Show contact on your post. Your phone and email are not in the page itself or the list behind it.

How is price per ton worked out?

For a per-bale price: the bale price x 2,000, divided by the bale weight the poster typed. No weight, no per-ton price. The weight is the poster's word, so ask how they know it.

Does AGSIST check the hay or the people?

No. Treat it like a note on the bulletin board at the feed mill. See the hay, ask for a forage test, and agree on weight and price before you load.
