Live cattle are trading at $221.23 overnight, up 1.8%, with feeders up 2.0% to $340.50, both printing well above Tuesday's settle with no fresh Cattle on Feed data behind it. Corn slipped back to $5.04, giving up the round number it just reclaimed Monday as rain-stalled harvest meets heavy Grain Stocks.

Cattle And Feeders Both JumpMEDIUM CONVICTION
- Live cattle are at $221.23 overnight, up 1.8% from Tuesday's $217.25 settle, with feeders up 2.0% to $340.50 from $333.85.
- No Cattle on Feed report today to explain it, the move is coming from the cash side with the Cargill lockout still pulling roughly 6,000 head a day of capacity.
Tight supply story just got another data point confirming it, not fixing it.
Corn Slips Back Under $5.08LOW CONVICTION
- Corn is trading at $5.04 overnight, down seven and a half cents from Tuesday's $5.08 close, after Monday's heavy Grain Stocks print already had the market digesting a bigger carryout.
- AgWeb's dispatch from Illinois today is the same story playing out across the Belt: combines parked, mud instead of harvest, drag-day after drag-day.
Wet fields are backing up corn supply even as the stocks number argued otherwise.
TODAY'S WATCH LIST
- Thursday 7:30am CTExport sales; soybeans over 1.5 MMT keeps the China-purchase story alive into harvest.
- OngoingCorn above $5.08 again reopens the round-number story; below $5.00 says harvest supply is winning.
- This weekWatch feeder cash trade for follow-through above $340.50 or a fade back toward $334.
OUTSIDE THE PITNot moving prices today, but worth knowing.
