CRUDE RUNS TO $93 AS HORMUZ TRAFFIC STAYS THIN
THE ACTION
Lock diesel needs now; a close above $6.55 on the rack price is the next reason to pre-buy fall fuel, not wait.
Crude added 2.1% to $93.19 and it isn't demand talking, it's one vessel crossing the Strait of Hormuz Wednesday, stuck below the 10-day average with the Iran-Hormuz cycle still refusing to fully unwind.

↺ YESTERDAY'S CALL DIDN'T
Called corn down toward $5.27 ($5.29 when the call was made). It closed at $5.2925.
Corn held $5.29 instead of breaking below $5.27; the summit-fade thesis stalled a penny short of the line.
Crude Runs On Thin Hormuz TrafficMEDIUM CONVICTION
- WTI added 2.1% to $93.19, brushing the top half of its 52-week range as Wednesday's Hormuz vessel count stayed stuck below its 10-day average.
- Brent's holding above $102 with Iran talks stalled on conditions, the same on-again standoff that's cycled through crude twice since April.
Fuel costs are rising into harvest with no clean resolution in sight either way.
Grains Give Back More GroundLOW CONVICTION
- Corn held $5.29, essentially flat, while beans firmed a nickel to $13.26; neither moved enough to matter after Wednesday's midweek selloff.
- Feedstuffs called traders anxious ahead of the next Trump/Xi meeting, the same summit-fade story that cost corn its China pop Tuesday.
Grains are stalled waiting on a summit date, not a fundamental.
Cattle Grind Higher AgainLOW CONVICTION
- Live cattle added 0.9% to $220.82, its fourth straight positive session after Monday's placement-driven pop cooled off.
- Feeders slipped 0.3% to $336.40, the divergence that's been the tell all week as the market digests placement numbers.
- No fresh Cattle on Feed data today; this is carryover mechanics, not new news.
Live cattle strength without feeder confirmation is a fed-cattle story, not a herd-rebuild one.
TODAY'S WATCH LIST
- Thursday 7:30 AM CTWeekly Export Sales; beans above 1.5M MT keeps the China-demand leg of the rally credible.
- OngoingHormuz vessel count; a rebound above the 10-day average unwinds today's crude premium fast.
- This weekDiesel rack price; a close above $6.55 says the export-ban debate is now a cost story, not just talk.
OUTSIDE THE PITNews not moving prices today but in the calculus.

White House Denies Diesel Export Ban Amid $6.50 Prices
The denial came a day after Trump and Bessent left the door open; producers pricing fall diesel should note the policy is still unsettled, not resolved.
