FARM BILL MOVES; EXPORT SALES PRINT AT 7:30

THE ACTION

New-crop beans: if Export Sales top 600K MT and Nov '26 closes above $13.42, price the first 10%.

The Senate Ag Committee broke its August deadlock Wednesday, advancing Farm Bill 2.0 on a 12-11 vote -- the first real legislative movement since the Aug 6 party-line failure. Beans settled at $13.26, off 3.5 cents, leaving the Nov contract a dime short of the level that would have triggered new-crop pricing for most operations.

Called soybeans up toward $13.35 ($13.285 when the call was made). It closed at $13.2625.
Miss; beans settled $13.26, a dime short of $13.35, and the chart stalled at the week's high.
EXPORT SALES IN FOCUS
  • Beans at $13.26 are at 98% of their 52-week range with no new demand catalyst overnight; the 7:30 CT Export Sales print is the only thing that can confirm this level or knock it back.
Export Sales at 7:30 either confirms the level or sends beans hunting support.
CRUDE EASES; DIESEL STORY DEEPENS
  • Crude fell to $100.67, off 1.6%, after Saudi Arabia confirmed it will reroute crude exports via Oman while the East-West pipeline is repaired, removing the acute supply-disruption fear that had kept the bid alive.
Crude off its high, but diesel tightness is the real input-cost story for harvest.
